Abstract

This study examined the property inventory and disposal management of Western Philippines University. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the respondent demographic profile and identify the level of awareness of the respondents in terms of inventory and disposal management. Determine the problems encountered by the respondents. Identify which of the demographic profile of respondent have significant relationship with inventory awareness and also identify which of the demographic profile of the respondent have significant relationship with disposal awareness. A descriptive–correlational research design was employed, involving 180 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and correlational analysis. Findings revealed that respondents were mostly mid–career, highly educated, and permanent employees of WPU. The respondents demonstrated high awareness of inventory and disposal management practices. However, several operational problems were identified, including untrained personnel handling equipment, improper maintenance, and inadequate storage practices. Correlation analysis indicated that technical training, job position, and sex had significant relationships with inventory awareness, while technical training alone showed a significant relationship with disposal awareness. Strengthening technical training programs, implementing integrated inventory management systems, adopting demand forecasting techniques, and enhancing monitoring and auditing mechanisms are recommended to further improve inventory and disposal management.
